You Have the Ability!

Matthew‬ ‭25‬:‭14‬-‭15‬ ‭NKJV‬ “For the kingdom of heaven is like a man traveling to a far country, who called his own servants and delivered his goods to them. And to one he gave five talents, to another two, and to another one, to each according to his own ability; and immediately he went on a journey.”

I was listening to a podcast recently where the speaker briefly brought up the parable of the talents and when he read that the talents were given based on each servant’s ability, something HIT me! So I decided to read the parable of the talents for myself, and this passage that I have heard SO many times suddenly became revelation to me!! God has never asked me to do anything that He doesn’t already know I have the ability to do! Praise God 🙌

I don’t know about you, but this changed my thinking. You see, God has placed some desires in my heart that are beyond what I feel like I can do, but if GOD (my creator, the most high) already knows I have the ability, then what in the world is stopping me?!? My confidence didn’t suddenly skyrocket, but I’m deciding to do some things afraid. I realize God didn’t give me a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). I can see that power, love, and sound mind pushing out my fear as I continue to do the things I’m afraid of. Knowing HE already knows my ability gives me confidence that HE can do some things through ME. I’m just the vessel. Man, this gets me excited!!!

Can I encourage you today to…Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding (‭‭‭Proverbs‬ ‭3‬‬:‭5‬ ‭NKJV‬‬). Also, I want you to really hear this! Jeremiah 1:5 NKJV says …“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.”

Friend, I sincerely hope you are hearing this today the same way I did. YOU have the ability to do what God has laid on your heart. He already knows you, and you were created for purpose 🙌. It’s what His word says!! Now…Go do what you were created to do, and do it afraid if you need to…just go!!
