You Have His Attention

I’ve heard people say things like God doesn’t have time to concern himself with my issues. He has much bigger things to do. Have you ever felt that way? Have you ever felt like you were unworthy to come to God with your needs?

In Mark 5, we read that Jesus was on His way to heal Jairus’ dying daughter. I would call that a pretty big deal, right?! He had somewhere to be! Along the way, there was a woman who had an issue of blood for twelve years and when she heard about Jesus (this makes me excited!), she sought Him out, found Him, and came behind Him in the crowd. She had so much faith!! She knew if she could just touch His clothes, she would be made well. I can see her now, pushing through the crowd, doing whatever she could to just get close enough… And there He was, within her reach! Then, she did it! She touched His clothes!! And Jesus, immediately knowing in Himself that power had gone out of Him turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched My clothes?” (Mark 5:30).

Can you imagine what she must have felt!?! She was instantly healed, but I notice another beautiful thing here. She wasn’t seeking His attention. This woman was used to being secluded, overlooked, and lonely. The law deemed her unclean. In fact, she may have preferred to be unseen. But here she was. She had His full attention!! And so do you!!

Do you ever feel unseen, unworthy of Jesus’ attention? My friend, you have his full attention! There is nothing too small or too big. Seek Him, get to know Him, push through all the hard and get close to him. He sees you, and I hope you know how much He loves you ❤️
