Yes, You Are Created In His Image!

Genesis 1:26 - Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness…

We were all created in the image of God. For so many years of my life, I reduced myself (with the help of people and this world). I never felt good enough, never quite fit in. I didn’t know it then, but I was always good enough. I was made in the image of God, according to HIS likeness. Today, I realize this more than ever. I have times where I have to remind myself who I am in Christ, but I know it now. Even when I don’t feel it, it is rooted in my heart, and I am quickly reminded. I know I am blessed with spiritual blessings, chosen, adopted, accepted, redeemed, forgiven, an heir, saved, and sealed (Ephesians chapter 1). This is my confidence. This is the mirror I am reminded to see myself through.

May I be reminded each day who I am in Christ, and may I portray that to the people around me. I pray that I am continually renewed by the word of God, continually made usable. I pray that every room I leave is marked the likeness of God, in which I am created, that others sense the life of Christ in me, that every place I enter is left with traces of God’s love like a sweet aroma that fills the air so that others may breathe Him in. I may not always do it perfectly, but I really want to make my father, my God, proud for it is in Him that I live and move and have my being (Acts 17:28).
